As I sit down to write this, there are only 25 days left until Star Wars Celebration Orlando! My, how time flies. It feels like just yesterday we were getting the news on starwars.com that the next celebration would be in Orlando – once again, I’m overwhelmed with a whirlwind of emotions. No worries, at this point I’m a veteran of Star Wars Celebrations as this one will mark my fourth Force-tastic adventure of being immersed in the galaxy far, far away. In other words, all is right in the world.
And so, in light of Star Wars Celebration, I thought it would be fitting to share some of my past celebration experiences with all of you. Hopefully you’ll find some joy in my personal stories and maybe you’ll even learn something about me you didn’t already know. Ready. Set. Go!
Star Wars: Galactic Nights makes its debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on April 14 — nicely timed with Star Wars Celebration Orlando — and will include celebrities, special attractions, and more. Vanessa Marshall (Hera, Star Wars Rebels) has been tapped as host for the “Inside the Saga: Celebrity Chat Show,” which will take you behind-the-scenes of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. A pre-show will be hosted by the hosts of The Star Wars Show, Andi Gutierrez and Anthony Carboni.
There will also be a “Seize the Saga Interactive Scavenger Hunt” open to guests of all ages, and BB-8 will make his debut at Star Wars Launch Bay.
Disney Parks Blog has compiled a list of what you need to know if you plan on attending.

“Star Wars! Nothin’ but Staaaaaar Wars!”
In case you haven’t heard, there is a new Star Wars movie coming out next month. There are five other movies coming in years to follow, we have another season of Star Wars Rebels to watch right now, Battlefront being released soon, and a plethora of novels, Marvel comic books, and reference materials to read. In short, it is a wonderful time to be a Star Wars fan. The fact that you’re reading this blog means that you’ve already gotten involved with the online fan community. You’re also probably aware that this blog is here because the nice owners of Coffee With Kenobi allow an awesome group of fans, including me, to share our thoughts with you monthly, and that Coffee With Kenobi has a fantastic podcast. Really. They don’t pay me to say this, but a boy can dream, right?
JUST … IMAGES REALLY, FEELINGS …
If you were to ask me what I remember about Saturday, April 18th 2015, my answer would be: “Just … images really, feelings.” And yet, it’s a day that I’ll never forget.
No, this isn’t going to be a symbolic blog or even anything remotely close. Nor will it be, creatively or critically, thought-provoking. What it will be, is an open-window passageway, or reflection, on my personal experiences of that day; a Rebels reconnection.
Of course, by the time you read this post, some of you will have already seen the premiere of Star Wars Rebels: “The Siege of Lothal,” but back then, on April 18th, that was not the case. In fact, I can’t even put into words, the amount of excitement and gratefulness that I still have, for all of those responsible in giving me such an awesome opportunity and a sea full of shoaling emotional memories. Hence the phrase, “just … images really, feelings.”
