Greetings, Core Worlders!

This week in Core Worlds Couture, I’ll be reviewing the latest themed offerings from Jamberry Nails, Star Wars: The Last Jedi Nail Wraps collection.

Core Worlds Couture: “Prophecy Girl” Shirt Review

Core Worlds Couture With Jay Krebs

This edition of Core Worlds Couture will focus on a blouse from Prophecy Girl – an independent ladies’ fashion company from the UK, who specializes in “top-notch” items “with a geeky edge!” The company was founded by Kristy Hannam, a graphic designer who wanted to break out and design stylish geeky clothing that SHE would want to wear! Everything is constructed in Britain, and the company claims to have tested and sampled everything before shipping out to its consumers (see website and Kristy’s bio for more details).

Core Worlds Couture: Squadron Goals Products Review and Jewelry Tutorial

Core Worlds Couture With Jay Krebs

Welcome back to another edition of Core Worlds Couture! This week, its a two-for-one-deal: a review and a jewelry tutorial!

A few weeks ago, I was searching for some simple porg merch – namely a badge-pin to add to my ever-growing collection – and I ran across a re-tweeted post in Twitter from @My Squadron Goals. So, I clicked on over to the Etsy store (named Squadron Goals) to purchase the pin, and was greeted by an adorable arrangement of Star Wars goodies: enamel pins, phone charms, stickers, and bumper stickers. The shop owner, Courtney Morelock, was kind enough to agree to send me a few phone charms and pins, in addition to the porg badge-style pin I had purchased. As it turns out, Courtney is also one half of  “Who Talks First,” a podcast she co-hosts with her friend, Solo.

Core Worlds Couture with Jay Krebs

After a long hiatus, its time to get back into the swing of things with a new edition of Core Worlds Couture! Here you will find Star Wars Fashion and product reviews, as well as crafty tutorials and ideas from a “mature point of view!”

Today, I’ll be reviewing two pieces from Ashley Eckstein’s Her Universe Star Wars business-casual collection. The collection was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con in July, 2017, and is found for purchase on the ThinkGeek website. There are several pieces in the collection, which you can check out here, but the focus today will be on two blouses I recently added to my wardrobe: “Star Wars Symbols Collared Tank Tunic,” and “Star Wars Ships Ladies’ Blouse.

As a teacher, I was really excited to see this line become available. I am proud to be Rogue 7 at Star Wars in the Classroom! I currently have several items from Her Universe that I do wear in my classroom, but these definitely have a leveled-up, polished look to them. Because both of these items are similar in fabric and overall construction, I have organized the review to reflect their similarities, while also shedding some light on each one individually. Let’s take a look at their overall descriptions.
