November’s seven Star Wars comics see the debut of Kieron Gillen on the main monthly, two issues of Darth Vader, the penultimate issue of the Mace Windu five-issue mini series and ongoing adventures with Poe Dameron and Doctor Aphra.
Despite technology’s best effort to thwart them, Jeff McGee and Matt Moore are back for another issue, diving deep into Marvel’s Star Wars comics from September, including Star Wars #22, The Force Awakens #3, Han Solo #3, Poe Dameron #5 and Darth Vader #24. Read more
Plenty of Princess Leia, more adventures with Poe Dameron, SCAR Troopers vs. the Rebel Alliance and Rey faces down Kylo Ren as November’s Star Wars comics feature a bounty of new tales and continuing adventures, along with a brand new R2-D2 tale by Chris Eliopoulos.
The only thing missing? No replacement, yet, for the about to conclude Star Wars: Darth Vader as fans await — with eagerness and a hint of impatience — word on a third ongoing monthly series, not to mention a mini-series to replace the adaptation of The Force Awakens.
We know something’s coming down the space lanes, thanks to Marvel assistant editor Heather Antos, who tweeted Aug. 18 that she was “Starting a pretty awesome new Star Wars project tomorrow. I’m really excited for this one!”
So, too, are comics fans. Until then, there’s plenty of Star Wars tales to be told and read. Read more
We’re live from Takodana! (Sort of.) We’re at the same issue as the monthly Star Wars comic! (For now.) We’re also talking comics! Five of them, to be exact, and in a rare convergence, Jeff McGee and Matt Moore liked them. For real. A lot.
Star Wars comics in October see Han Solo’s end (literally), but not the star, while Sgt. Kreel and his SCAR team face off vs. Luke Skywalker, Leia and company aboard the Harbinger and Finn, Han and Chewbacca set off to save Rey from the First Order.
Poe Dameron, the Resistance’s best pilot continues his ongoing rivalry with First Order agent superior Terex, too.
Missing from the October line up? A third monthly series to replace Star Wars: Darth Vader, which ends in August. Read more
A stolen Star Destroyer, Agent Terex vs. Poe Dameron, Maz Kanata’s castle and a traitor to the Rebellion aboard the Millennium Falcon. Marvel’s September Star Wars comics feature an inordinate amount of action, intrigue and danger, along with a mystery or two.
A bigger mystery? What’s going to replace Star Wars: Darth Vader? There’s no listing, as of yet, for the September solicits, but it’s likely a reveal of a new ongoing may come as the final issue is released in August. Stay tuned! Read more
If the advance look at three pages of the first issue of Star Wars: Han Solo #1 are any indicator, readers are going to get an adrenaline-packed thrill-ride tale of racing and espionage that draws not just references to the Kessel Run in A New Hope but to the more mature Han in Claudia Gray’s recent novel Bloodline, too. August sees Marvel brings its best-selling — and critically lauded — Star Wars: Darth Vader to its natural conclusion, with not one but two issues released, including a revealing look inside Anakin Skywalker’s head as he wrestles with the life he lost, the life that could have been and the life Darth Vader now has (and yes, that is Padme Amidala on the cover.)
