When we last saw Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Force Awakens he had just killed his father, Han Solo, wounded Finn, and battled nearly to the death with The Scavenger, Rey. What can we expect from his path in The Last Jedi? Director Rian Johnson shared his thoughts in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly.
There has been a lot of speculation, theorizing, and conjecture about Rey’s family since we first met her in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We won’t go into any of that here, as Coffee With Kenobi doesn’t deal in any of those things, but Entertainment Weekly has revealed that the subject of Rey’s parentage will be a factor in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
First we hear from director Rian Johnson…
At the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Finn was not in the best of shape. The attack by Kylo Ren left him wounded in more ways than one, and as revealed by Entertainment Weekly in its ongoing coverage of The Last Jedi, it looks like Finn has had his fill of the Resistance. It falls to new character, Rose, to help him find his place.
