Fans watching tonight’s ‘Wednesday Night Baseball’ game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates on ESPN will feel as though they’re in a galaxy far, far away as ‘Star Wars Night’ kicks into gear at Busch Stadium.

The telecast will feature “movie-magic elements throughout the telecast, including music from the famous scores by composer John Williams, footage from the films and a baseball-themed scroll mimicking the iconic opening credits of the George Lucas classic.” Fans at the stadium will get the chance to meet costumed characters, and special segments throughout the night will feature creatures from the upcoming animated Disney XD series Star Wars Rebels.

The game begins at 8 p.m. ET.

How absolutely fun! I wish I had stopped by CWK last week to catch this story. It would have been fun to watch the game. 🙂 Maybe I’ll have to see if I can get the Brewers to stage such a night. 🙂 Maybe this is just what they need at this point in the season. 😉 (poor Brewers … they’ve seen their huge lead in the NL Central Division s-l-I-p away. 🙁 )
