Formerly a Loot Crate-only exclusive that ended up selling some 500,000 copies — making it the top-selling Star Wars comic for the year — when it was released in December 2017, IDW Publishing is making Star Wars Adventures: Destroyer Down available to all readers as a three-issue mini series, collecting the entire graphic novel and sporting additional covers, too.
Coming in at 60 pages and featuring a pair of stories — “Destroyer Down” and “The Ghost Ship” — the mini series will feature 20 pages of story per issue and was written by Scott Beatty, illustrated by Derek Charm and Jon Sommariva, features inks by Sean Parsons, colors by Matt Herms and letters by Tom B. Long. The series was guided by assistant editors Peter Adrian Behravesh and Elizabeth Brei and editors Bobby Curnow and Denton J. Tipton.
“Swallowed by the shifting sands of Jakku, the Imperial Star Destroyer Spectral has been lost for two decades, giving rise to rumors of hauntings and buried treasure. But an epic sandstorm has revealed the ruins of the starship, and renowned scavenger Rey now leads the race to claim whatever lies within.”
