Highlights from Disney’s Media Event for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Galaxy’s Edge, and Galactic Nights

Earlier this month, I was fortunate enough to be invited by Disney to the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi at Walt Disney World. Events also included attending a panel discussion for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and the Galactic Nights spectacular held on December 16. I was able to share many of my experiences across Coffee With Kenobi‘s social media accounts, and I hope they were enjoyable! I know I had an amazing time — especially since it was my first time at Disney World! To have my first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth revolve around a new Star Wars movie was pure icing.

Since my postings were spread around a bit, I figured I would gather them up into this one master post for easier access. If you missed out on anything, it should be found here. Of course, nothing beats actually being there, but I hope you get a sense of what a marvelous time can be had when Disney meets Star Wars!

Here is a selection of pictures I took during my trip:

And here’s a compilation of clips from the Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away stage:

Captain Phasma leading the First Order troops down Hollywood Blvd:

The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge panel presented all the latest updates and inspirations for both the Orlando and Anaheim locations scheduled to open in 2019. The panel was introduced by Warwick Davis, hosted by David Collins, and featured Disney Imagineers Scott Trowbridge, Chris Beatty, Robin Reardon, and Lucasfilm’s Doug Chiang.

Darth Vader and the 501st keeping order during Galactic Nights:

Finally, here’s video I took of the fireworks spectacular that closed out Galactic Nights. I missed the first minute due to a technical snafu, so my apologies for that.

So, those were just some of the highlights of my trip to celebrate all things Star Wars at Disney World! I hope it gave you a taste of what it was like to be there — It was magical!

I would like to thank Disney once again for this amazing opportunity, and CWK host Dan Z for his support.
