David Kamp, contributing editor at Vanity Fair and writer of The Last Jedi feature in the new issue, took part in a Reddit AMA today and answered a bevy of Star Wars-related questions. Presented below are some of the highlights, but you can read through the entire AMA on Reddit here.

Yesterday we saw the four new limited-edition Vanity Fair covers for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. They promised us even more images today and have delivered in a massive way! Not just the new images, though, but new character and city reveals as well.
With the new images released today, all captured by the great Annie Leibovitz, we get a closer look at the characters we already love — Luke, Rey, Leia, Kylo Ren, Poe, Finn, and more — but we also get our first look at new characters such as Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo, played by Laura Dern, and a shady grifter-type character called “DJ,” played by Benicio Del Toro.
With this week being the 40th anniversary of Star Wars, there’s bound to be an exciting tidbit or two. Well, Vanity Fair is taking that seriously as they reveal four new covers celebrating Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo Ren, Poe Dameron, Luke Skywalker, General (she’ll always be royalty to us) Leia, and more are highlighted in gorgeous images captured by photographer Annie Leibovitz. This issue also features a behind the scenes look at the making of The Last Jedi written by David Kamp.

It’s time to start thinking about Christmas again! Yes, it’s still spring, but Hallmark has released their Dream Book for 2017 — and there are a few Star Wars ornaments that need to be on your tree this year. Naturally, the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars is the main focus of the collection. However, The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi are also represented.
In addition to the Dream Book, Hallmark has also revealed their exclusives for Star Wars Day, May the 4th. Fans of itty bittys will be excited! Find out more below:
Listeners to CWK’s Comics With Kenobi podcast are well familiar with the song “Mark Hamill Can Handle.” After all, it kicks off every show! The song was written by Chris Cape, and now Chris has a music video to go along with the song. Find out more from Chris, and check out the video, below:
A little while ago I wrote and recorded a new song on a whim and what happened was amazing.
The song captured the joy and anticipation felt all around me leading up to the first Star Wars movie in a decade (The Force Awakens) and the comeback of cultural icons like Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia. Mark Hamill himself tweeted the song saying he was ‘surprised and humbled’ by it, which was way more than I could have hoped for with the song.
Last week, in the midst of everything going on at Star Wars Celebration, Disney Parks announced the new destination for its Star Tours attraction. As seen in the new teaser trailer for The Last Jedi, the new location is the mineral planet of Crait, where you’ll find yourself in the middle of an epic battle between the forces of darkness and light.
The news was revealed by Imagineer Tom Fitzgerald and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) during the Star Wars and Disney Parks: A Galaxy in the Making panel. You can see video of the revelation below. The announcement comes near the end, after a bit of an oral history of Star Tours.
Had enough Star Wars to last you a while? Yeah, didn’t think so. The Star Wars Show didn’t think so, either, so they’ve got a new episode recapping the best of Celebration and featuring a never-before-seen interview with the director of The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson. Check it out below:
