Did you ever lose something of dear importance?  Car keys when you are late, a child in a packed department store?  We all have, to one degree or another.  Then the friends mobilize and work to find the missing person or item.

Force and Faith Sabers SquareAs far as we know so far, in the life of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, we see a growth from farmboy to hero; from innocent child to mature adult.  The unspoken thing in each of those phrases is the path in between.  Luke went from moisture farmer to student to hero pilot.  He went from his innocence, through an awakening to a cause which resulted in a mature Jedi. A deep and true transformation of the state of his personhood, as well as his soul, was effected.  He went through a process of purification, illumination and union with the Force.

Valentine’s Day is almost upon us and some would say, “Love is in the air.” Of course, there are others that would go out of their way to avoid such romanticized cliché and literally dodge Cupid’s Arrow all together. On the other hand, is it really possible to prevent Love from happening? To deny someone, even thyself, the right to experience natural emotions such as, desire, attraction, and affection would be considered inhumane and could possibly lead to a cataclysmal mental state. Or maybe I’m just a bit overdramatic and rhapsodized than most. After all, I didn’t obtain the nicknames “Angel B” or “Aphrodite” of the old Hyperspace Blogs for my lack of romantic flair. I guess it would be fair to say, I’m in love with the idea of (being in) Love.
